Lacrosse Tournament Softwarefor Ontario
Live brackets, standings that calculate themselves, and a public display board every family at the arena can follow from their phone. Built for the director running the event — not for an IT department.
LACROSSE IN ONTARIO
What a lacrosse weekend looks like in Ontario
The Ontario Lacrosse Association is the largest provincial lacrosse governing body in Canada, administering a membership deep enough to tier most age groups into A, B and C. Ontario lacrosse weekends therefore run at hockey-tournament scale, with multiple tiers of the same age group drawn separately and a full playoff round on the Sunday.
Ontario is the largest youth-sport market in the country and the most organisationally fragmented: Southern, Eastern and Northwestern Ontario are administered separately in several sports, and Thunder Bay is closer to Winnipeg than to Toronto.
BUILT FOR LACROSSE
Lacrosse, not generic sport
How the draw works
Box lacrosse runs in the spring and summer, in the same arenas that host hockey and ringette in the winter but with the ice out. That off-season timing is a genuine advantage for an organiser: the buildings are cheaper and easier to book, and families are not competing with a full winter schedule.
Where TrakScore fits
It also means the volunteers running a lacrosse weekend are often doing it once a year rather than every second weekend, so the setup has to be learnable in one sitting. TrakScore's wizard takes a director from an empty tournament to a live, public bracket without a manual.
Divisions
U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U22, tiered A, B and C at most ages.
Season
Roughly April through August for box lacrosse, running through the summer while the ice sports are dark.
Vocabulary
Venues are floors, fixtures are games, and standings track GF and GA.

FAQ
Lacrosse tournaments in Ontario
Can TrakScore run a lacrosse tournament in Ontario?
Yes. TrakScore is built for exactly this job: a director running a weekend lacrosse event with teams from across Ontario. You set the format, add your teams, generate the schedule and publish a public display board. Nothing about the platform is tied to a particular league or to the Ontario Lacrosse Association — you run your own event on your own terms.
Which lacrosse tournament formats are supported?
All five formats lacrosse organisers actually use: single elimination, double elimination, round robin, pool play feeding a playoff, and best-of series. Lacrosse events in Ontario most often use pool play into a playoff round, and TrakScore advances winners into the bracket automatically as each game goes final.
How do parents in Ontario follow the scores?
Every tournament gets a public display board at its own URL — no app, no account, no login. Put it on a screen at the arena and share the same link with families. The practical consequence for an Ontario organiser is scale — draws of 24, 32 or more teams across several divisions are routine, and hand-maintained brackets stop being viable well before that point.
Do my scorekeepers need accounts?
No. You can email a one-tap scoring link for any individual game, and the volunteer at the arena opens it and enters the score — no download, no signup. That works on every plan including Free. Standing scorekeeper seats, for someone covering a whole weekend, come with Pro and above.
What does it cost to run a Ontario lacrosse tournament?
Free covers one tournament per season with up to 16 teams, which is enough for a small lacrosse draw. It is one tournament per organization, not per login. Beyond that an Event Pass is a one-time $79 for up to 32 teams, $149 up to 64 or $249 up to 128 — no subscription, and the event stays archived and publicly readable afterwards. If you run several lacrosse events a year — a division per weekend, say — the annual Season Pass works out cheaper.
Does TrakScore use the right terminology for lacrosse?
Yes — the product speaks lacrosse, not generic sport. Venues are labelled “Floor”, fixtures are “Games”, and the standings table tracks GF and GA rather than a one-size-fits-all column. Age divisions in lacrosse run U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U22, tiered A, B and C at most ages, and you can name yours whatever your event and the Ontario Lacrosse Association actually call them.
